Full Stack Developer

Full Stack DeveloperWe are seeking an experienced, hands-on Full Stack Developer to design, build, integrate, deploy, maintain, and support modern applications within an innovation-focused technology environment.This role is primarily focused on full stack application development using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript. The developer will work across backend services and modern web applications while supporting cloud-native development and modern CI/CD and DevOps practices.Approximately 70% of the role is focused on hands-on engineering and development, with additional responsibilities involving rapid prototyping, emerging technology evaluation, technical strategy, and technical documentation.Essential Job FunctionsEngineering & Development – 70%Design, develop, integrate, deploy, maintain, and support modern applications and technology solutions.Develop backend applications and services using Java and Spring Boot.Develop event-driven applications and integrations utilizing Kafka.Build modern frontend applications using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.Develop and integrate APIs and services using REST, JSON, SQL, and related technologies.Build and support solutions within cloud-native environments, including AWS.Collaborate with software engineers, QA, product staff, and other technical and business stakeholders.Participate in application integration, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.Apply modern software engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps, and Agile delivery.Emerging Technology & Rapid Prototyping – 10%Explore emerging technologies and evaluate potential applications to business opportunities.Rapidly develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes for presentation and business validation.Evaluate and adopt new technologies, platforms, development approaches, and methodologies when appropriate.Technology Strategy & Thought Leadership – 10%Provide technical perspective and thought leadership around emerging technology trends.Contribute to new product, program, and technology concepts designed to produce business value.Design processes and utilities supporting the integration of layouts, styles, content, and media assets into established and emerging products.Apply entrepreneurial and solution-oriented thinking to understand the technical and business impact of new concepts.Technical Design & Documentation – 10%Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs.Create and maintain technical documentation covering software design, file and database design, processing logic, integrations, and external interfaces.Clearly communicate technical approaches to engineering, QA, product, and business stakeholders.Required Qualifications & Technical SkillsCandidates should have strong hands-on experience with:JavaSpring BootKafkaReact / ReactJSJavaScriptTypeScriptAWS and cloud-native application developmentREST APIs and JSONSQL and modern databasesCI/CD pipelinesAutomated testingDevOps practicesAgile software developmentContainerizationAdditional experience with technologies supporting modern internet and web application development may include:Node.jsPythonReact NativeHTMLWebSocketsTLSShell scriptingSystems administrationPreferred QualificationsExperience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).Experience with enterprise content management platforms.Experience rapidly evaluating and implementing emerging technologies.Experience developing prototypes or proof-of-concepts for business validation.Ability to work across backend, frontend, integration, and cloud technologies in a modern application development environment.Relevant Skills:Software/Technology - Years of Experience - Date Last Used (MM/YYYY)JavaSpring BootApache KafkaReact / ReactJSJavaScript / TypeScriptAWS / Cloud-Native DevelopmentAdobe Experience Manager (AEM) / Enterprise CMS
